Larne 10 - 26 Carrick

Larne’s first score was a straight response to Carrick scoring at the beginning of the game. Pressure on the Carrick outhalf resulted in a fumble and Gareth Jamison kicked through and gathered for the try.

Ryan McAlister scored after a few penalties given away by Carrick. The resulting pressure was rewarded with the try in the corner.

The Second half proved difficult for the home side with a few mistakes from trying out new combinations for the season.

A few visits to the Carrick 22 but a few misjudged off side errors allowed Carrick the chance to clear their lines.

Carrick saw the game out with 2 more scores and retained the Hawkins Cup.
