Larne lose out to stronger Carrick

U13 & 17s travelled to Carrick & despite putting up a valiant fight they were well beaten by the older, bigger & more experienced home side.

However, they can take comfort from the fact Carrick have just about the best youth set up in Ulster & can be used as the yardstick for the development of Larne's youth.

Mini rugby continued with close to 100 kids on the back of 40 youth out at training on Thurs night.

Volunteers are still requested to help in any capacity & should contact Davy Wilson 07889055742.

There were a dozen attendees at a coaching course last Fri organised by the club & Ulster rugby to provide a training programme for aspiring coaches in schools & the community. Most of the attendees were females who enjoyed the course immensely under the direction of Chris Galway.

Larne high yr8 played Larne grammar & put up an excellent display before going down 35-20 to the talented LGS side with Robbie Doey & Reece Magill starring.

This sat sees the 13s & 17s travel to Stranorlar to meet Finn Valley in their first league match; travel details will be announced on Thurs at training.
