Larne fight back to pip UUC

The game started with both teams making their intentions known with some strong carries from both sides.
It was unforced errors that was denying both sides try scoring opportunities.

From the 1st scrum Larne showed their dominance in that area with good scrummaging from the front row of Burford Rea and Johnston.
After a a couple of reset scrums Larne where awarded a penalty which Garrett took quick to feed Tom Field down the short side to touch down. Mcbride added the extras.

UUC hit back with a penalty shortly followed by a try after a good break from their scrum half to bring the score to 8 - 7 in UUC s favour.

McBride put Larne back in front with a penalty to leave the half time score 8 - 10.

After the break UUC came out firing and scored to put UUC back ahead 15 - 10.

As the time ticked on Larne didn't really look like coming back until the game got a bit fiesty which seemed to fire up the Larne pack who started dominating the breakdown and collisions.

Some big runs by McAlister and Johnston, led by captain Hunter and old guard Wilson gave Larne an opportunity which they took when Johnston crashed over. The conversation just slipped wide with both teams level at 15 apiece with only 8 mins left on the clock.

The Larne backs asked for more of the same from their pack who duly obliged and with the time ticking on they started picking and going making every valuable yard possible.

With 3 mins left Roy wilson touched down in the corner to give larne a 15 - 20 lead. McBride took his minute's allowance for the difficult conversation which unfortunately just went wide.

Larne saw the game out and know they had to fight for thar victory but showed real character when the game looked gone.
