Larne unable to recreate magic start to season

Larne were drawn in group 2 alongside Randalstown, Coleraine and Carrick.

The first game against Carrick proved to be a tight affair. Carrick edged ahead with a penalty, which turned out to be the only score of the game. Larne had a few chances to get points on the board but missed from long range kicks. Final score Carrick 3 Larne 0.

The next game proved just to be as tight against Coleraine. Coleraine took the lead when the ball had deemed to be out of the scrum, by the referee, and the scrum half picked up the ball and scored. The try was the only score of the game.

Larne's final game of the tournament was against the hosts Randalstown in which both sides proved equal with a 7-7 draw, that forced Larne out of the tournament and unable to retain the Randalstown 15s Cup.
