Larne RFC in association with Every Life Matters (ELM) and Mind Your Noggin, will host a Mental Health Awareness night on Fri 18th Jan 2019 at 7.30pm.

This is an information awareness session regarding mental health and suicide awareness, which will be held at Larne Rugby Football Club, Glynn, on Friday 18 January 2019 at 7.30pm.

The aim of this evening is to raise awareness about issues affecting mental health particularly in older teenagers and younger adults. There are various statistics showing a rise in reported mental health problems in Northern Ireland which if not addressed may/will affect the person’s long-term health and well being. It is an area which is not well talked about or understood amongst this group and we feel we want to try to change this. “We need to change the culture of this topic and make it OK to speak about mental health and suicide”.

We would like to encourage members/staff of your club/business/school to attend and share the information provided and believe this is a good opportunity to raise the profile in our community.

We intend to have guest speakers who will provide information and a question and answer session.

In order to facilitate some light refreshments, we would be grateful if you could advise how many representatives from your club/business/school would be attending, drinks are also available to purchase as the bar will be open.

This event is for adults and children from year 8+.
